Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

- 1 1/4 lb. hamburger
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 12 cabbage leaves
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
Directions

1Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water.

2Let stand.

3Mix all ingredients.

4Place portion in center of each cabbage leaf.

5Fold sides of leaf over meat.

6Roll up and secure with toothpick. Brown in large skillet or Dutch oven with 2 tablespoons of oil. Add 1 large can tomato sauce and 1 large can of tomato paste, 2 cans of water, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.

7Mix this together before adding to cabbage rolls.

8Cook on low heat for about 2 hours; if necessary, add more water during cooking.
