Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Place cabbage in large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes to soften leaves.

    Remove and cool.

    Mix beef, rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper.

    Loosen cabbage leaves.

    Place a spoonful of meat mixture on cabbage leaf and roll up.

    Place seam side down in baking dish.

    Mix soup, brown sugar and vinegar; pour over cabbage rolls.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
