Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium size mushrooms, wiped with a damp cloth
  • 1 c. mushroom stems
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. Arrange mushrooms in a shallow baking dish, hollow side up. Combine all remaining ingredients except cream; heap into mushroom umbrellas. Pour cream over mushrooms; bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Baste once or twice with sauce in baking dish. Serves 6 to 8.
