  • 24 large mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. chopped beef
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. oil or butter
  • salt (optional)

Directions

    Wash mushrooms and remove stems.

    Set aside caps and mince stems.
  3. 3
    Heat oil and saute chopped beef and mushroom stems; add all other ingredients and blend well.

    Cook for about 5 minutes. Spoon into caps and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for about 20 or 30 minutes.

    Serve hot.
