- 6 medium large onions
- 1/2 c. chopped ham
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Remove a slice from the top of each onion and parboil the onions until almost tender.

2Drain and remove the centers, leaving six little cups.

3Chop the onion that was scooped out and combine it with ham and soft bread crumbs.

4Add seasonings and fat, then refill the onion cups.

5Place them in a baking dish.

6Cover with fine bread crumbs.

7Add the milk and bake at 400° to 450° until tender.
