  • 3 large green peppers
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 rib celery, finely chopped
  • 4 sprigs parsley, stems and leaves finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef (twice ground)
  • 1/2 lb. small fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 loaf stale French bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Split peppers in half, horizontally; remove seeds and membranes.

    Wash and blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes and set aside.
