Stuffed Peppers

  • 4 green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Directions

    Cut peppers in half lengthwise.

    Remove seeds and wash. Combine beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce.

    Pile mixture into peppers and place in large baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over each pepper.

    Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake in moderate (350°) oven for 1 1/4 hours, basting occasionally.
