  • 6 medium bell peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz. American cheese

Directions

    Precook peppers in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes and drain.

    Cook ground beef and onion until lightly browned.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Drain.

    Add tomatoes, water, rice and Worcestershire sauce.

    Cover and simmer until rice is tender.

    Stir in cheese.

    Stuff peppers; stand upright in baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
