Stuffed Peppers

  • 4 large peppers
  • 3/4 lb. chop meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Cut peppers across top and scoop out insides.

    Bring 4 quarts water to boil.
  3. 3
    Put clean peppers in and blanche for 3 minutes. In frypan, cook chop meat, garlic, onion and nutmeg.

    Drain and add rice.

    Spoon into pepper.

    Place in roasting pan.

    Pour tomatoes over and place in preheated 350° oven for 40 minutes. Serves 4.
