  • 1 lb. hamburg
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • salt and pepper as desired
  • 6 large green peppers
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 8 oz. can tomato juice

    Saute first 5 items until meat browns.

    Split peppers lengthwise; remove stems and membranes.

    Boil 20 minutes.

    Cook rice according to directions.

    Combine meat and rice mixture, moistening with part of tomato juice.

    Press into cooked pepper shells.

    Place into baking pan.

    Pour remaining tomato juice over all.

    Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
