  • 4 green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. cooked rice (2/3 c. uncooked)
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Directions

    Cut peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and wash. Combine beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce. Pile mixture into peppers in large baking dish. Pour sauce over each pepper. Cover tightly and bake in moderate oven at 350° for 1 and 1/4 hours or until peppers are tender, basting occasionally. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
