  • door knob peppers
  • cabbage
  • water
  • vinegar
  • salt
  • sugar
  • 2 pods long green or red hot pepper to a qt. jar

    Clean door knob peppers, making hole only large enough to take out seed.

    Grate cabbage.
  3. 3
    Stuff peppers as tightly as you can with cabbage.

    Rinse cabbage off outside of peppers without getting inside wet.

    (This just keeps so much cabbage from being in liquid in jars.)

    Pack stuffed peppers in jars.
  7. 7
    Add 2 pods of hot pepper to each quart jar.
