Ingredients
- 5 or 6 medium green peppers
- 3/4 c. brown rice (uncooked)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. instant beef broth
- pepper to taste
Directions

1Remove tops and seed from peppers.

2In large kettle, bring water to boil.

3Cook peppers five minutes.

4Remove and drain. Cook rice according to instructions on package.

5Set aside.

6In a skillet brown ground beef and onions.

7Drain.

8Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper.

9Cook 5 minutes.

10Stir in rice.

11Stuff cleaned peppers with the rice mixture.

12Place upright in a shallow pan.

13Mix beef broth in 1/2 cup water.

14Add to pan.
-
15Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
