  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 small egg, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes, mashed

    Boil peppers 5 minutes in salty water.

    Slightly brown ground beef with onion.

    Drain.

    Add all other ingredients.

    Mix well and divide in peppers.

    Place in skillet.

    Add 1 cup of water (more if needed) and simmer 40 minutes.
