- 4 green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Directions

1Cut peppers in half lengthwise.

2Remove seed and scald slightly.

3Combine beef, rice, egg, onion, salt, pepper and 1/4 can tomato sauce.

4Pile meat mixture lightly into pepper halves. Place in large baking dish.

5Top each pepper with rest of tomato sauce.

6Add 1/4 cup water in bottom of pan.

7Cover dish tightly. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until peppers are tender.

8Baste occasionally.
