Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 12 oz. kernel corn
  • 4 oz. or 1 c. shredded sharp American cheese
  • 2 tsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 c. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Sprinkle inside pepper with salt.

    Brown meat and onion.

    Add corn, tomato, Worcestershire and salt.

    Simmer for 5 minutes.

    Add cheese.

    Stir until melted.

    Stuff peppers and stand in bowl. Combine crumbs and melted butter.

    Sprinkle over top.

    Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes at 350°.
