  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • 1 pita loaf for each sandwich
  • lettuce

Directions

    Melt butter or margarine in a frying pan.

    Saute the onion for 5 minutes.

    Add meat, salt, pepper, parsley and tomatoes.

    Mix well.

    Cook over medium heat.

    Stir until meat browns.

    Cut each pita loaf in half and stuff pocket with lettuce and meat mixture.
