- 1 medium-sized pumpkin (seeds removed; save top and stem)
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. bread cubes
- 2 slices bacon
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Brown onions in pan; add ground beef, salt and pepper until cooked.

3Add bread cubes and stir.

4Place ground beef mixture inside pumpkin.

5Place top back on pumpkin.

6Drape 2 slices of bacon over top and hold in place with toothpicks, if necessary.

7Cover with aluminum foil and place pumpkin in ovensafe pan.

8Cover bottom with water and cook in oven until pumpkin is tender.

9Makes a great autumn decorative meal.
