- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/4 c. finely chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground sage
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef boneless round steak (1/2-inch thick), pounded to 1/4-inch thickness
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can onion soup
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In small skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter.

3Add onion and celery.

4Cook and stir over medium heat until tender.

5Transfer to medium mixing bowl.

6Add bread crumbs, salt, pepper, sage, thyme and garlic powder.

7Dissolve bouillon granules in hot water.

8Add to crumb mixture and mix well.
