  • 12 oz. box jumbo shells (24)
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 slices bread
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 qt. spaghetti sauce
  • green pepper (optional)
  • mushrooms (optional)

Directions

    Cook shells as directed.

    Brown ground beef and onion.

    In bowl, mix bread (cubed in small pieces), milk and egg.

    Add to bowl of bread mixture the meat, 1/2 of the cheese and a small amount of spaghetti sauce.

    Spray with Pam a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Spread 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce evenly over the bottom. Fill each shell with meat mixture and place in dish.

    Pour spaghetti sauce over filled shells.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake at 350° until bubbly; sprinkle rest of cheese over top and bake until cheese melts (about 15 minutes).
