Stuffed Soft Crab

- 12 medium Maryland soft crabs, cleaned
- 1 lb. Maryland backfin crabmeat
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Dry soft crabs with paper towels.

2Remove all cartilage from crabmeat.

3Place soft crabs in shallow baking pan.

4Remove top shell from crabs and stuff each crab cavity with about 3 tablespoons crabmeat.

5Replace top shell.

6Melt butter and pour evenly over crabs.

7Bake at 400° until shells turn red and crabs brown slightly, about 15 minutes.

8Makes 6 servings, 2 crabs each.
