Stuffed Whole Cabbage

- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 slice bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Remove core from head of cabbage; cut out the inside, leaving a hollow shell.

2(Save center for use in slaw, etc.)

3Soak crumbs in milk and water; add remaining ingredients and mix well.

4Fill cabbage with meat mixture and tie it up in a piece of cheesecloth. Put cabbage in large pot of boiling, salted water; boil for 25 minutes.

5Cut in wedges and serve with tomato sauce, if desired. A chopped green pepper may be added to mixture.
