Stuffed Yellow Squash

- 1 lb. large squash
- 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. crumbs (saltine or bread)
- 1/2 tsp. Cavender's or seasoned salt
- 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- bacon bits or crumbled bacon (optional)
Directions

1Boil squash whole until tender.

2Cut in half when cool. Remove pulp.

3Save and squeeze.

4Lay cut halves, emptied, on flat pan.

5Mix pulp and all other ingredients together, except for cheese and bacon.

6Put mixture in halves.

7Top with cheese and bacon.

8Heat until hot.

9Serves 4 to 6.
