  • 6 slices chopped bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green pepper
  • 1 can lima beans
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    In large skillet, brown bacon lightly.

    Spoon off all but 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet; add onion and green pepper. Cook 5 minutes.

    Add lima beans, corn, tomatoes, salt, sugar, pepper and butter and heat to boiling.

    Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

    In cup, blend flour with 2 tablespoons water; stir into mixture and cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
