- 2 beets sugar
- 1 1/2 cups chickpea cooked
- 2 garlic cloves
- lemon juice to taste
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- olive oil to taste
Directions

1Cook the beets, unpeeled, and boil until very tender.

2Remove from heat, drain, and let cool slightly. Peel, and cut in chunks.

3In a blender, place the beets, chick-peas, garlic, lemon juice, and cumin. Blend to a puree.

4Gradually add, if necessary, a little warm water and olive oil, to obtain the desired consistency.
