  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cream together margarine, shortening, brown sugar, white sugar and egg.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Form into balls; roll in sugar and lightly press with bottom of a glass on greased cookie sheet.
