  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Sift all

    dry ingredients together.

    Cut in shortening. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla and add to flour mixture; mix well. Shape into small balls.

    Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten each with bottom of glass. Bake at 375° for 8 or 10 minutes.
