  • 1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 lb. frozen puff pastry, thawed

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Place pastry on sugar sprinkled chopping board.

    Sprinkle pastry with 1 tablespoon sugar and finely chopped nuts.

    Roll pastry into 12 x 6-inch rectangle; add more sugar to keep pastry coated.

    Cut rectangle crosswise into 1/4-inch thick strips.

    Twist strips and arrange them on lightly greased baking sheet.

    Press ends to keep from untwisting.

    Bake in batches in the middle of the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    The crisps may be made up to two days in advance and kept in airtight containers.

    Makes 48 crisps.
