Sugar-Free Fruit Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 c. dates, pitted
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. prunes, pitted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, allspice and cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. nuts (preferably walnuts)
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 to 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil together dates, raisins, prunes and 1 cup water.

    When done, add margarine and vanilla; cool.

    Beat the eggs.

    Add cooled fruit mixture and the rest of the ingredients.

    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. (Real good for diabetics.)
