Sugared Asparagus

- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces (about 4 c.)
- 1 c. chicken broth
Directions

1In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat butter and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved.

2Add asparagus; saute for 2 minutes. Stir in chicken broth; bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat; cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender.

4Remove asparagus to serving dish and keep warm.

5Cook sauce, uncovered, until reduced by half.

6Pour over asparagus and serve immediately. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
