- 1 lb. sirloin steak
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. beef broth (dissolve 1 beef bouillon cube in 1/2 c. boiling water)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 1 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 4 green onions, cut in 1-inch lengths
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 3 stalks celery, diagonally sliced
- 1 (5 oz.) can bamboo shoots, drained
- 3 c. washed, trimmed fresh spinach
- 3 c. hot cooked rice
Directions

1Cut steak across the grain into 1/4-inch strips, about 2 inches long.

2In large skillet or wok, brown meat in oil.

3Push meat to one section of skillet.

4Stir in beef broth, sugar and soy sauce.

5Place mushrooms, green onions, onions, celery and bamboo shoots in separate section of skillet.

6(Do not mix.)

7Cover; simmer 10 minutes.

8Add spinach; simmer 5 minutes longer.

9Serve over rice.

10If desired, pass additional soy sauce.
