Ingredients

  • 1 c. sliced green onions
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb. thin-sliced or cubed chicken
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1/8 tsp. each: ginger and cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. powdered garlic
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts

Directions

    In a large pot, combine bouillon cubes and water.

    Heat until cubes dissolve.

    Add molasses, spices, oil and flour.

    Stir and heat until slightly thickened.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Cook over fairly high heat, stirring, for 10 minutes.
