- 10 c. coarsely ground squash
- 4 c. chopped onions
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 2 or 3 c. water
- 2 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 red peppers, coarsely ground and rinsed
- 4 green peppers, coarsely ground and rinsed
Directions

1Mix squash, onions and salt well and let set overnight.

2Drain in morning; rinse with water.

3Add remaining ingredients.

4Mix well; cook 15 minutes.

5Seal in jars.

6Hot water bath 5 minutes.
