- cucumbers
- 3 qt. water
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 1 c. kosher salt
- dill tops
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/16 tsp. alum
- slice of bread
Directions

1Bring water, vinegar and kosher salt to a boil and cool.

2Put cukes in jar with dill tops, garlic and alum.

3Cover with water mixture.

4Place slice of bread on top of cukes.

5Cover with foil. Set in sunlight for 3 days.

6Remove bread.
-
7Replace with lid.

8Keep in refrigerator.
