Sunflower Seed Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 c. bulgur wheat
  • 2 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 c. sunflower seeds
  • 2 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. oats
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram

Directions

    Simmer bulgur wheat for 15 minutes in 2 cups of water and 4 tablespoons of soy sauce.

    While bulgur is simmering, whiz sunflower seeds, celery salt and 2 cups of water.

    Put sunflower seed mixture in a bowl with 2 cups of oats and stir; set aside. Next, saute finely chopped onion and garlic with sage, oil and marjoram.

    Combine all ingredients and place in a greased casserole dish.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.

    Yields 8 to 9 servings.
