  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. lemon pie mix
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 (1 lb.) can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

    Cook pie mix according to box directions using the 2 egg yolks.

    Pour pie mix into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Spoon fruit cocktail and nutmeg on top.

    Make cake batter per box using egg whites and extract.

    Pour batter over fruit.

    Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

    Cut in squares and serve warm.
