Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (divided use)
  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder or to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Directions

    Combine 1/4 cup soup with remaining ingredients except oil. Shape into patties.

    Heat oil in large skillet and brown burgers on both sides.

    (Drain excess fat.)

    Combine remaining soup with 1/2 cup water.

    Pour over burgers and cook over low heat about 20 minutes, turning occasionally and stirring sauce as needed.

    Add water as needed to sauce if it becomes too thick.
