- 2 c. sifted regular flour
- 3 tsp. double-acting baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Mix sifted flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

2Cut in Crisco with pastry blender, 2 knives or fork until mixture looks like coarse meal.

3Add milk and stir until blended.

4Transfer dough to a floured board or pastry cloth.

5Knead lightly about 10 times.

6Roll dough 1/2 inch thick.

7Cut with floured biscuit cutter.

8Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 425° oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown as desired.
