Super Simple Marinated Fish

9 ingredients
10 steps

Ingredients

  • 4 piece Fish (I use basa, but other fish like tilapia would work perfectly.)
  • 1/2 Red Onion, diced
  • 3 clove Garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch Chopped Cilantro
  • 1 lemon, cut in halves & juiced
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/6 cup cooking oil
  • 1 Salt and Pepper, as needed

Directions

  1. 1
Get a small/medium sized Tupperware bowl that has a lid.
  2. 2
Set one of your garlic cloves aside and add all of the remaining ingredients listed above (minus Salt + Pepper) together into the bowl, including your fish or chicken.
  3. 3
Cover this mixture and allow it to sit in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.
  4. 4
This will allow your meat to soak up all of the flavor from your marinade.
  5. 5
When ready to cook your meat, pour entire mixture into a skillet on medium to high heat.
  6. 6
For fish - Allow about 6 minutes to cook on each side, or until a slightly golden crisp forms on each side.
  7. 7
Your fish shouldn't contain any pink when it is fully cooked.
  8. 8
For chicken - Boneless chicken breast is fully cooked when it is white throughout.
  9. 9
Melt your butter and pour over the fish.
  10. 10
    Enjoy!
