  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 12 oz. can of whole kernel corn
  • 15 oz. can kidney or other beans
  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup melted butter/margarine
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 5 cups corn bread
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth

Directions

    Fry sausage, onion and celery until sausage becomes brown and onion tender. Add the rest of ingredients; drizzle broth and toss lightly until evenly mixed. Bake at 375° in covered 4 quart casserole until hot (45 min.) or bake covered alongside bird for last 30 min. of roasting. Makes 12 cups.
