Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 14 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 3 oz. can mushrooms
  • 8 oz. shell macaroni, cooked
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    In large pot, cook and drain ground beef, onion and garlic. Add spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms.

    Simmer 20 minutes. While this is simmering, cook macaroni shells.

    Using a large casserole dish, layer 1/2 shells, 1/2 meat sauce and Provolone cheese.

    Then 1/2 shells, 1/2 meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Cover and bake.

    Remove cover last 5 minutes to let cheese melt. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
