- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. walnuts, ground
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light.

2Add egg yolk and mix well.

3Add vanilla and sifted flour.

4Roll dough into small ball and dip into egg white which has been slightly beaten.

5Roll in walnuts.

6Put on greased baking sheet and press down center with handle of knife.

7Bake at 325° for 15 minutes or until light brown.

8While still warm, put apple jelly in each center.
