- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. lean pork
- 1 small onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- pinch of ginger
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. water or stock
- 6 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Grind meat and onion together three times.

2Add egg, potatoes, seasoning and milk.

3Mix well and form into small balls.

4Brown on all sides in heavy skillet.

5Remove meat balls and add water and flour.

6Stir over low heat until thick.

7Place meat balls and gravy in casserole and bake 1/2 hour at 300°.
