  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. English walnuts, chopped

    Beat egg slightly.

    Add sugar and vanilla.

    Add the pineapple and mix well.

    Add flour, soda and salt and mix well.

    Fold in nuts.

    Bake in a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 11 1/2-inch pan at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Cool and ice with Cream Cheese Frosting.
