  • 4 c. pecan halves
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter

    Put nuts on large cookie sheet (with sides).

    Warm 10 minutes in 325° oven.

    Beat egg whites until frothy.

    Add sugar and salt gradually.

    Beat until stiff.

    Pour nuts into egg white mix until coated.

    Melt butter in same cookie sheet.

    Put nuts on melted butter.

    Place in 325° oven for 30 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes to prevent sticking together.
