- 1 lb walnut pieces
- 1 lb pecan pieces
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 4 egg whites
Directions

1Lightly brown nuts on 10 x 15 pan in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes.

2Beat egg whites stiff and add salt& sugar.

3Melt butter in pan in oven.

4Stir browned nuts into meringue mixture.

5Place nut mixture on buttered pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

6Ready when brown and no butter remains in pan.

7Let cool and enjoy!
