- 4 c. pecans
- 1 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 2 egg whites, beat stiff
- 1/2 c. melted butter
Directions

1Toast pecans in oven at 325° for 10 to 20 minutes or until light brown, stirring occasionally.

2Fold sugar and salt into egg whites.

3Beat until stiff peaks form.

4Fold nuts into beaten egg whites.

5Place melted butter in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Spread nut mixture over butter.

6Bake at 325° for 30 minutes or until nuts are coated and no butter remains in pan.

7Stir every 10 minutes.

8Cool and break apart.
