- 1 c. sugar
- 1 dash salt
- 1 stick butter
- 2 slightly beaten egg whites
Directions

1Toast nuts in slow oven (325°) until light brown.

2(Do not overtoast.)

3Fold sugar and salt into slightly beaten egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form.

4Fold nuts into mixture.

5Melt butter in a 15 x 10 x 2-inch pan.

6Spread mixture over butter. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.

7Stir often until there is no more butter.
