Ingredients
- 3 c. unsifted rye flour
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
- 1 Tbsp. anise seed, crushed
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 1/4 c. water
- 2/3 c. honey
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. unsifted flour
Directions

1Grease 3 (1-1/2 quart) round ovenproof bowls.

2In large bowl, combine 2 cups rye flour, orange peel, anise seed and yeast.

3In medium saucepan, heat water, honey, margarine and salt until lukewarm.

4Gradually add liquid to dry ingredients and beat at low speed until moistened.

5Add remaining rye flour and 1 cup flour, beat 2 minutes with wooden spoon, stir in 2 1/2 cups flour or enough to make soft dough.
