- 4 large carrots
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
Directions

1Scrape carrots with vegetable parer.

2Cut into penny slices. Place carrots in saucepan; cover with cold water.

3Add salt. Cover saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until water starts to boil.

4Turn heat down to low; cook 15 minutes longer.

5When carrots are tender, pour contents of saucepan into colander in sink.

6Shake to drain water.

7Put carrots back in saucepan.

8Stir butter and brown sugar; cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring a few times.

9Carrots should be shiny and glazed.
